WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Through engaging video modules, interactive quizzes, and a practical worksheet, you'll explore key UltraLearning methods such as metalearning, directness, and retrieval practice. This workshop is ideal for those with foundational Emotional Intelligence knowledge, as it builds upon these concepts to create a unique synergy with UltraLearning techniques.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
1. Identify and explain the core components of Emotional Intelligence related to interpreting practice.
2. Discuss and apply at least three specific UltraLearning strategies (such as metalearning, directness, and retrieval practice) to accelerate skill development in interpreting.
3. Analyze and implement integrated Emotional Intelligence and UltraLearning principles to enhance overall interpreting performance and professional growth.

Sarah Wheeler is an ASL/English interpreter and educator with over 18 years of experience in the field. She holds a Master's in Interpreting Pedagogy, a Master's in Psychology, and is a proud veteran of the USAF. As a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA) and a certified EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 Coach, Sarah has a deep understanding of the crucial role emotional intelligence plays in interpreting, especially as the field navigates the next era of AI and globalization. Our workshops blend Emotional Intelligence with advanced skill development, empowering interpreters to excel in rapidly evolving environments.
